Fort Carson Honors Fallen Soldier From Ohio

Fort Carson is holding a memorial service for an Ohio soldier who was killed in Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. Christopher L. Brown of Columbus, Ohio, is being remembered on Monday at the infantry post outside Colorado Springs.

Brown was killed April 3 while on a walking patrol in Kunar province. He was 26.

Brown’s survivors include his wife, two children, his parents and three sisters, and his wife is expecting the couple’s third child.

He was a member of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, part of Fort Carson’s 4th Infantry Division.

We will have a crew at the memorial service, working to learn more about this fallen soldier.
