Homes In Northeast Springs Vandalized

About 30 homes were hit by vandals early Wednesday morning in northeastern Colorado Springs. It happened in five different neighborhoods of Pine Creek. That area is near North Union and Briargate Parkway.

Maria Blide is one of the homeowners whose property was hit. She tells me, “It’s frustrating when you wake up to damage like this that the homeowners are going to have to be held responsible for.” Blide’s, nearly 6 foot tall outside light was among many badly damaged lights in Pine Creek. The vandals also destroyed a precious outdoor figurine that came from Japan. The homeowner tells me that it was worth two thousand dollars.

One alert homeowner spotted the vandals in action trying to take a bicycle that was left outside. He scared away the crooks. We’ve learned the suspects are two possibly three teen boys in a white, mid 90’s Jeep Cherokee..

If you know anything about these crimes call Colorado Springs Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
