Suspect Arrested In String Of Springs Robberies

Colorado Springs Police have arrested a suspect they believe is connected to five armed robberies.

32-year-old William Visor is charged with robbing the Wal-Mart at 3201 E. Platte Ave. Tuesday night.

Robbery Unit Detectives determined the robbery was part of a loose pattern spanning the past three months. Over that period, Visor is believed to have committed at least five armed robberies.

As the investigation progressed, a vehicle was sought, which detectives believed was involved. On Wednesday morning, detectives located the car parked at a motel near Fountain Blvd. and Academy Blvd.

Surveillance was established and eventually a man drove away in the white Ford Taurus, which was stopped by detectives in the 2700 block of Reeve Circle. Based on evidence gathered throughout the pattern, the driver, Visor, was taken into custody.

So far, Visor has only been charged for the April 3rd Wal-Mart robbery. Charges are forthcoming in the following cases: April 2 – Natural Grocers, 1825 S. Nevada Avenue March 29 – Wal-Mart, 707 S. 8th Street January 29 – Kohl’s, 2725 Janitell Rd. January 27 – Target, 1630 E. Cheyenne Mtn. Blvd.
