God, Guns, Taxes Among Possible Colo. Ballot Measures

Abortion is already under petition in Colorado for a possible ballot measure this November. Now voters could see more other ballot measures proposals coming from the right – on God, guns and taxes.

The secretary of state title board is considering a measure that would say government can’t exclude religious beliefs from public displays.

And the panel approved a proposal Wednesday seeking to change the state constitution to say that Coloradans can carry concealed weapons without a permit.

The title board also approved a plan to do away with real property taxes.

The board decides whether the supporters can begin gathering the 86,000 or so signatures required to petition questions onto ballots, but it doesn’t consider the subject matter of proposals.
