Springs Grass Fire Now Contained

Colorado Springs Fire crews have contained a grass fire they say potentially threatened nearby buildings.

The fire was originally about one acre large in the 2600 block of Plumtree Gv. That’s by Pike Park southwest of the Fillmore and Chestnut intersection. CSFD says that the size is now unknown. Crews are currently working to clean up some hot spots.

Fire crews deployed hoselines between structures to fight the flames and protect the buildings.
