Man Carjacked After Offering Strangers A Ride

A Colorado springs man is carjacked after giving a group of people he didn’t know a ride home, police said.

Colorado Springs police said the victim pulled into an apartment complex in the 4100 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue Thursday afternoon, when two of the passengers hit him on the head and took his car.

The four people left the scene in the victim’s maroon 1998 Dodge Durango.

The victim was treated at the hospital and is OK.

Police said one of the suspected carjackers is a black man, about 28 to 32-years-old, with a medium build and black hair. Officials said another black man was described as 6 feet tall, 28 to 32-years-old, medium build, wearing an army jacket.

A 28-year-old black woman and a white woman were also suspected to be involved, police said.
