Murder Sentencing Today
A man will learn his fate Friday after being found guilty of murder.
Tyrone Martinez, 32, was convicted of first degree murder. A jury found him guilty of shooting Norma Salazar. Her body was found in her La Jara apartment last august. Prosecutors say Martinez shot Salazar out of revenge for his uncle’s death.
Rodney Northrip, 19, pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter and accessory to a crime and testified against Martinez.
Martinez could face life in prison.
