Driver Arrested On Drug Charges

A Pueblo man faces many charges after a routine traffic stop.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that 35-year-old Jeremy C. Robinson is facing charges of possession of a schedule II substance, possession of marijuana, driving while under the influence, failing to signal and being a special offender.

Robinson was pulled over by Pueblo County sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hecht for failing to signal a turn near Aspen Road and Roselawn Road on U.S. 50.

Hecht said after speaking with Robinson he could smell a moderate odor of fresh marijuana.

Robinson told the deputy that he had a medical marijuana license but that he had left it at home.

Robinson then turned over a small baggie of marijuana from his left pants pocket.

After a search of Robinson’s silver Dodge Durango, Hecht said he discovered a small baggie of crack and a derringer-style pistol in the middle console.

Hecht said he also found a large bag containing three bags of crack in the vehicle.

Robinson was being held in the Pueblo County jail Monday in lieu of $50,000 bond.
