Rescuers Find Man In Park County Mine
The Park County Coroner has scheduled an autopsy for the man recovered from the Ajax Mine in Park County.
David Kintz said that autopsy will be performed in the next two days.
Kintz said the body was recovered on Saturday with the help of Front Range Mine Rescue, Park County Search & Rescue, State of Colorado Division of Mining Reclamation and Safety, State of Colorado telecommunications, Park County Road & Bridge and the Park County Sheriffs Office.
Rescuers delayed recovering the body because they said it was simply too dangerous when it was discovered last weekend.
The victim is believed to be Kevin Lawrence of Alma.
