Expect Delays For CSPD Non-Emergency Number

Citizens may receive a busy signal when calling the Colorado Springs Police Department non-emergency number on Tuesday.

CSPD tells us the Communications Office is moving and, as a result, the phone line 444-7000 can only receives twenty calls per hour. One the twenty call capacity has been reached each hour, the rest of the callers will get a busy signal. This should end around 2 p.m.

All 911 emergency calls are being answered at the El Paso/Teller County 911 center until 2 p.m. CSPD says that all emergency calls will still go through.
