Manning Meets With Broncos

Quarterback Peyton Manning landed in Denver Friday afternoon to meet with the Denver Broncos.

Elway and Head Coach John Fox were in Stillwater, Okla., on Friday morning watching quarterback Brandon Weeden, who played with Oklahoma State. The Broncos’ private jet flew to Miami, picked up Manning, and flew back to Stillwater to pick up Elway and Fox.

They all flew back to Denver and landed at Centennial Airport just after 1:35 p.m. The men then boarded a silver sport utility vehicle and headed directly to Dove Valley, where Manning is expected to get a tour of the facilities.

“This means that the Broncos are definitely a finalist for the services of Peyton Manning,” said KMGH Sports Director Lionel Bienvenu.

Manning is also expected to meet with the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals this weekend.

Manning said he wants to make his decision by Tuesday.

“If the Broncos were to sign Peyton, who knows what effect this will have on current starter Tim Tebow,” Bienvenu said.

Manning, 36, was released from the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday because a neck injury that kept him out of the 2011 season.

The Houston Texans and New York Jets are also on the short list of teams looking for Manning?s services.
