Police Ask For Help In 2010 Open Homicide Case

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s assistance regarding an open 2010 homicide investigation.

The suspect or suspects in this case remain at-large and investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the death of Stephan Wilson to contact detectives.

On October 1, 2010 at approximately 10:00 am, the Colorado Springs Police Department was dispatched to the 6500 block of Del Monico Dr. to investigate a report of a dead body inside an apartment. Upon arrival, officers located the body of Stephan Wilson. Wilson died of a gunshot wound to his head.

The preliminary investigation revealed that officers were dispatched to the same apartment the night prior at approximately 9:30 pm to investigate a loud noise complaint. When the officers arrived, they did hear loud music coming from the apartment but were unable to get anyone to come to the door.

Wilson was known by many as “Too Tall”.
