Police Investigate Stabbing, Assault
Police are investigating an assault and stabbing at the intersection of Dublin and Union at around 3 a.m. Monday.
Officers tell us two men were walking in the area of 2871 Dublin Boulevard, and asked a security guard for a ride.
Police say at some point this contact turned into a physical disturbance between the two males and the security officer.
Officers say during the confrontation, one of the men allegedly struck the security officer with a skateboard.
Police say the security officer used a flashlight to strike one suspect in the head and a pocket knife to stab the second suspect in the chest.
The two men were taken to a local hospital where the injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
The Violent Crimes Assault Unit is helping with the investigation.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing.
