Garage Fire Displaces Colorado Springs Man
A man who had been living in his friend’s detached garage was forced out by fire Thursday night.
C.S.F.D. responded to a fire at the corner of Bonfoy and E Willamette about 9:00 Thursday night.
The small backyard structure was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
The man who had been staying there was forced to rush out of the home wearing no clothes.
He tried going back inside the garage to rescue his pet cat, before evacuating a second time.
The man was treated for some minor burns on his elbows along with smoke inhalation. It’s not know if the cat found a way out of the structure.
Flames were under control within minutes. The fire is now under investigation.
