Academy To Conduct Basewide Exercises

The Academy will conduct installation readiness exercises during normal working hours Thursday and Friday, March 1-2.

These exercises may cause delays at both gates as well as control points within the cadet area. Artificial smoke may be visible from across the base, as well as from I-25.

Patient care at the 10th Medical Group will not be provided tomorrow, March 1, because of a medical readiness exercise being conducted at the facility.

Additionally, ancillary services, such as laboratory and pharmacy, will be extremely limited on Thursday.

Beneficiaries are strongly recommended to avoid the 10th MDG on Thursday as the exercise scenario involves the entire medical treatment facility. If beneficiaries require emergency medical care, they should call 9-1-1. Access to the on-call care provider is available through the appointment line at (719) 524-2273.

Academy officials want to ensure the public that all exercise activities are planned and controlled, and ask that on-base drivers proceed with caution.

Normal operations will resume on Friday, March 2, at 7:30 a.m.
