3 Teens Arrested Following Car Theft

Colorado Springs police say they arrested three teens Tuesday following a truck theft at the 7/11 on Pikes Peak and Academy Boulevards.

Police tell us the teens stole a truck from a pump at the gas station.

When the man who owned the car approached the teens, they showed him a gun and left.

Police soon caught up with the teens at the Mountain Country Estates but the teens ran when police tried to arrest them.

Police caught up with two of the teens on Ruskin Drive and the third teen on Tennyson Avenue.

Police found the gun used in the crime and discovered it was a black pellet gun.

The teens were arrested and face charges of felony menacing with a handgun and motor vehicle theft.
