UPDATE: La Junta Fire Contained
Fire crews have contained a fire at a river bottom near Hwy 194 and County Rd FF in La Junta.
According to the La Junta Fire Department Chief, Aaron Eveatt, power lines were down in the area and there was zero visibility because of the smoke.
Las Animas and La Junta crews resopnded to the fire. As of 4:00 p.m., the fire is fully contained and crews are returning to the station.
