High Profile Vehicles Restricted Lifted On I-25

High profile vehicles were restricted from traveling on I-25 south of Pueblo for several hours on Tuesday afternoon.

These vehicles were directed off the highway at Colorado City – exit 74. As of 5:00 p.m., the restriction has been lifted but there is still a high wind advisory in effect.

CDOT reports there are winds exceeding 60 MPH south of Pueblo.

The winds caused three separate semi rollovers on I-25, according to Colorado State Patrol. Two rollovers occurred on southbound I-25 at mile marker 69, and a third happened on northbound I-25 at mile marker 64. CSP says there were no injuries which is a “victory.”

CSP also says there is a dust storm from mile markers 114 to 116.

In Colorado Springs, Utilities says high winds are expected to continue overnight. They encourage anyone who has an outage or notices any downed power lines/trees on lines to call 448-4800.
