Man Shoots Pit Bull In Colorado Springs Neighborhood

Colorado Springs Police are investigating the circumstances around the death of a dog in a west side neighborhood.

A homeowner in the Vondelpark Place neighborhood told police that he shot and killed a pit bull that was roaming his neighborhood. He told police that the dog has acted aggressively towards him and his wife in the past and he felt threatened.

Police are now investigating the shooting to determine if any charges will be filed.

Police tell us there is no information about who owns the dog.
