E. coli Detected In San Luis Water Supply

Residents of the town of San Luis are being told to boil their tap water, after E. coli bacteria was detected during a routine quality check.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued the order Wednesday afternoon.

The boil order affects the San Luis Water and Sanitation District. Neighboring communities are not affected.

The source of the contamination has not been identified.
