Two Drivers Injured In Evening Rush Hour Crash
Colorado Springs police said the drivers of a car and a minivan were not seriously hurt when the vehicles collided during Monday evening rush hour.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Lehman Drive. Police said one vehicle was struck while making a turn. Officers did not disclose which driver was at fault, or what factors contributed to the accident.
Police said initial reports where that the crash was head-on, and that one driver was ejected from a vehicle. Neither of those reports was true, police said.
The crash briefly closed several lanes of southbound Academy and westbound Lehman. All lanes in the area reopened just before 6 p.m.
