Walgreens Bandit Surveillance Video

Colorado Springs Police just released on Monday, surveillance video of the suspected Walgreens Bandit. This thief has hit four separate Walgreens pharmacies in a month. He’s hit the same one in the 57-hundred block of Constitution, twice. The thief is 5-7, thin build, mid-20’s, wearing a dark hoodie and sunglasses each time the pharmacy is hit.

Detective Sgt Dale Fox tells me this is what’s called a low key robbery. The thief quietly walks, generally waiting until the pharmacy counter is clear. He hands over a note and asks for certain drugs. He gets the drugs he wants and then walks out of the store. No one has reported seeing him get into a getaway vehicle.

The Walgreens Bandit latest ripoff was on Sunday at the Chelton, near South Academy at ten in the morning. Previously he’s hit Walgreens in the 34-hundred block of North Academy, 57-hundred block of Constitution and the 73-hundred block of Rangewood. The thief has varied his times to ripoff the pharmacies. Two of the ripoffs were at night, one in the early a.m. and two in the daytime.

Detective Sgt Fox says so far, no weapon has been shown and no one has been hurt. However, he believes that, “No one has been hurt so far, but we are always worried. Escalation is always a pattern we have to deal with in robberies.”

If you think you’ve seen the man in the video, contact Detective Sgt Dale Fox at 719-444-7539 or Colorado Springs Crimestoppers at 719-634-STOP.
