Pueblo Emergency Men’s Shelter Will Stay Open Until April

Due to the overwhelming generosity of Pueblo residents, the Posada organization, Crossroads of Pueblo and anonymous donors, the Salvation Army in Pueblo has raised enough funds in the last week to keep the Emergency Men’s Shelter open until April 1st, 2012.

The Pueblo Salvation Army announced last week that the Emergency Men’s Shelter would close on Feb. 15th due to a lack of funding. The shelter will now remain open until April 1st, the time of year when the average night-time temperature climbs above freezing.

The Salvation thanks the community of Pueblo and the other Social Service agencies who came together to help support the shelter.
