Fort Carson Change Of Command

The mountain post is welcoming a new deputy commanding general. Fort Carson is holding a welcoming ceremony for Brig. Gen. Darsie D. Rogers, Jr., at 4 p.m. Monday.

Brig. Gen. Rogers has served for 25 years, most recently as commander of the joint forces special operations component in Iraq. He’s served in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Operation Provide Comfort as well as peacekeeping operations in Bosnia. Rogers previously served at Fort Carson as a battalion and group commander for 10th Special Forces Group.
