Agents Nab 3 Suspects In Sex Assault Sweep

Colorado agents arrested three sex offenders for failing to register Thursday.

Agents with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation spent Thursday looking for Deangelo Herrera, 19; Shawn Elliot, 28; and Adrian Brown, 30.

All three men were originally charged with sex assault on a child.

Officials said it is common for these fugitives to relocate to jurisdictions other than where they were originally living and required to register.

According to state officials, Colorado has 14,831 convicted sex offenders who are required to register, and of that number, 818 have failed to register.
