Third Arrest Made In Pueblo Kidnapping/Homicide

Police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the Jan. 9th kidnapping and murder of Jeremy Naranjo.

Investigators with the Pueblo Police Department and the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested 38-year-old Pueblo resident, Gustave Dreyer.

Dreyer was arrested in Pueblo on Tuesday and charged with first degree murder. Dreyer’s photograph is not available at this time as investigators conduct additional follow-up.

Investigators are still looking for 20-year-old Miguel Angel Hernandez Moran for the charge of accessory to first degree murder. Moran is a Hispanic male, about 5’10”, 220 lbs, and has the nickname “Gordo.” Moran’s photo is shown in this article.

Naranjo was found dead on Jan. 9th on Rim Ridge Court near Academy and Vickers. Naranjo was kidnapped from the 2100 block of Hellbeck Drive in Pueblo earlier that day. Police say several male suspects forced Naranjo into a vehicle around 6:20 p.m.

Police say the motive for the kidnapping appears to be narcotics-related because at least one suspect and the victim had exchanged narcotics in the past.

Two others have already been arrested in connection to the murder. 44-year-old Alfredo Velazquez and 26-year-old Xavier Rubalcaba-Lopez, AKA Alan Rocha Armijo, are being charged with first degree murder.

On Jan. 10th, detectives located and stopped a vehicle in Colorado Springs driven by Rubalcaba-Lopez. He was taken into custody for providing false identifying information and for being a previously-deported felon from Mexico.

On Jan. 17th, CSPD Homicide detectives and Pueblo Police Department detectives arrested Velazquez for his involvement in Naranjo’s death. On Jan. 18th, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Rubalcaba-Lopez for the murder of Naranjo. He was served at the Criminal Justice Center in Colorado Springs where he was being held on his aforementioned charges.
