Colo. Springs Police Investigate 3 Break-Ins, Burglary

Colorado Springs police said they are investigating three break-ins that may be related and a burglary that appears to be unrelated.

According to officers, crooks got away with two big screen televisions from the Rent-A-Center on Austin Bluffs near Barnes.

Police said they smashed in a big window with rocks to get into the store.

Springs police said they are also investigating three other attempted robberies. The suspects in these crimes crashed a truck into buildings to try and gain access.

One was at the Universal Motor Sports in the 1200 block of N. Academy Blvd.

Another was at the Game Stop in the 1500 block of Space Center Dr.

The third break-in was reported at the Rent-A-Center store on E. Pikes Peak.

Police said it appears that nothing was stolen from the three stores that were crashed into.

According to officers, the suspects may have been driving a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
