Kidnapping Suspect In Custody
Police have found the suspect who kidnapped a girl from Pueblo.
Police say the suspect is 29-year-old Jose Garcia.
Garcia has a criminal record, but most of his offenses are traffic-related. He was arrested once in 2009 for violating a restraining order connected to a domestic violence incident.
Police were looking for him in the area of I-25 and Woodmen, near where the girl, Calysta Cordova was found Friday morning.
She ran from him when he went to use the bathroom at the Circle K gas station at Woodmen and Commerce Center Drive.
She was taken to Memorial Hospital to to be checked out. The girl’s father tell us Calysta is “okay” but he would not elaborate.
