Brothers Arrested For Stealing Power Tools
Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two brothers Monday in connection with the theft of $600 in power tools from the Lincoln Park Gym.
26-year-old Nathan Kyle Clinkinbeard of Canon City, and his brother, 21-year-old Dusty Ray Eslick of Florence, had been in the gym without authorization Sunday afternoon when Clinkinbeard removed two power drills from a locker in the mens’ room.
Video surveillance cameras caught the two brothers leaving the business with the stolen drills.
Monday afternoon, Clinkinbeard returned to the gym where he was confronted by a contractor who recognized Clinkinbeard from the video. When Clinkinbeard attempted to leave the gym, the contractor, who owned the drills, tackled Clinkinbeard and held him until deputies arrived.
Deputies subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for Eslick and a search warrant for Eslick’s apartment in Florence. Late Monday night, deputies executed both warrants, recovering the stolen drills, an undisclosed amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia from Eslick’s apartment.
Clinkinbeard is being charged with 2nd degree burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession/use of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He is being held on a $3,000 bond and an additional $1,725 bond for unrelated warrants.
Eslick is being charged with 2nd degree burglary, theft, criminal mischief, distribution of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $6,000 bond.
