Disturbance Puts Palmer Lake Neighbors On Alert
Neighbors in Palmer Lake received a phone call from The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office telling them to stay inside, while police dealt with a domestic disturbance Saturday morning. The situation ended at about 11:30 a.m.
Police said they were called to a mobile home in the 700 block of Westward Lane to deal with a possible domestic disturbance.
The relative of a woman inside the home called police, telling them that she was concerned for the woman’s safety after receiving a phone call from her.
The woman was able to get out of the home when police arrived and was not hurt.
Officials alerted neighbors to the situation at about 10 a.m. Saturday because the man refused to come out and may have had a gun.
When investigators got in contact with man, they said they found out there was no gun. The man and the woman both denied there was a domestic dispute in their home, officials said.
Police said the couple is married and have three kids, but the kids were not at home at the time.
Investigators said it appeared both the husband and the wife had been drinking.
Officials left the scene after contacting the husband and no charges were filed.
