Suspicious Device Found Near Platte And Willamette

A suspicious device was found in the 2200 block of E Willamette Friday afternoon.

Pinky’s High Country Towing in Colorado Springs called KRDO NewsChannel 13 reporting a possible bomb threat in their area.

Lt. Sevene of Colorado Springs Police Department says authorities found a CO cartridge of a pellet gun in the area. She says the cartridge has been tampered with and is “not in its original form.”

An employee of Pinky’s says police evacuated businesses in the area near Platte and Willamette.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from CSPD and the bomb squad.
