Colo. Dems To Hold 2012 State Assembly And Convention In Pueblo

Colorado Democratic Party Chairman Rick Palacio announced Friday that the state’s democrats will meet in Pueblo to hold the party’s assembly and convention. All party events will be held on Saturday, April 14 at the Colorado State Fairgrounds.

“I’m thrilled to have my hometown serve as our hosts,” said Colorado Democratic Party Chairman Rick Palacio. “We will see many important campaigns in Pueblo and throughout southern Colorado, and this will be a great opportunity for our candidates and activists to prepare for a busy year.”

“Pueblo democrats did a great job in putting together a comprehensive plan for our assembly and convention,” added Beverly Benavidez Ryken, the CDP’s First Vice-Chair. “With a lot of party business to complete, we have a location that meets all of our needs and will be a welcome destination for democrats from every corner of the state.”

Among other activities, Colorado democrats will select at-large delegates to the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.
