Missing Fountain Man Found Safe

Fountain Police say they have located a missing man and he is in good condition.

On Thursday afternoon, police asked the community to be on the lookout for a missing 77-year-old man with dementia.

Royce Whitfield was home alone between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. When his wife returned at 2 p.m., Whitfield and the car were gone. Police say that Whitfield usually sleeps most of the day so the family was okay leaving him alone for several hours.

At 5:30 p.m., police confirmed that Whitfield was found safe.
