UPDATE: Pueblo Water Main Break Fixed, Roads Still Closed

There was a water main break in Pueblo on 6th Street between West and Elizabeth. As of 3:30 p.m., the break has been fixed but there are still delays in the area.

6th Street is closed between West and Elizabeth. A section of West Street was also initially closed but has since reopened.

A 10″ main ruptured Wednesday morning, resulting in a substantial amount of water on the streets – the total amount is unknown at this time.

Board of Water Works crews repaired the break. There was some drop in water pressure to a few businesses on 6th Street between Greenwood and Elizabeth and on West Street between 5th and 6th. Those businesses now have their water fully restored. No residential customers were affected.

Traffic will be still be detoured around this area, which may cause some inconvenience for downtown drivers Wednesday afternoon. 6th Street is expected to reopen midday Thursday.
