Car Chase Leads Deputies To Stolen Items

Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect after a car chase Monday morning.

Around 1:00 a.m., deputies attempted to stop a white 2002 Honda Accord for an equipment violation in the 1400 block of Royal Gorge Boulevard. The Honda drove away and led deputies in a short pursuit. The Honda ultimately eluded deputies.

Deputies later found the vehicle abandoned in an alley near 15th Street and Franklin.

The Honda had been reported stolen out of Pueblo and contained many items also believed to have been stolen. Items recovered from the Honda include several GPS units, Samsung cell phones, a Canon digital camera, a .270 caliber rifle, a Jeep knife/holster, and a stun gun.

The Sheriff’s office asks anyone with information on this incident or the stolen items to contact Deputy Manalo or Deputy Richards at 276-5555.
