District 11 Mistakenly Sends Parents Late-Night Call
Dozens of School District-11 parents were woken up early Sunday morning after a glitch in the schools automated call system.
Parents reported getting the phone calls between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Parents said the alert notified them of an upcoming board meeting.
Colorado Springs School District 11 said its automated telephone system malfunctioned.
A spokeswoman for the school district said they are not sure how many people got phone calls.
The district emailed an apology and posted it on its Facebook Sunday.
The district said it has a plan in place to avoid a repeat.
