Man Arrested After Throwing Rocks, Attacking Officers

A man is behind bars after police say he threw rocks and then got into a physical fight with them.

It all started at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when a woman called officers to tell them that a man was throwing rocks at her car in the 5200 block of Solar Ridge Drive. Police saw the damage but as they went to contact the suspect rocks came over the roof nearly hitting them. Police used a Taser to try and stop Michael Menke, but it had no effect. Then Menke headed inside a home. Both officers followed and a violent fight ensued. Menke was arrested and taken to a local hospital, then booked on several charges including assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and reckless endangerment.

None of the officers was hurt.
