Suspected Robber Stabbed During Robbery

A man is behind bars after Colorado Springs police say he was stabbed while trying to rob an elderly man.

Officers say someone called to tell them two drunk men were fighting in the 300 block of East Brookside Street at aruond 6:15 p.m. Monday. During a safety pat down officers found that one of the men had been stabbed. Police say an older man he was trying to rob stabbed him and then called police.

Police arrested the attempted robber. They are not releasing his identity. He is expected to survive.
