UPDATE: Car, Driver Wanted In Shooting Found

The new year started off with gunshots in one Colorado Springs neighborhood.

Colorado Springs police say a woman, 23, is in the hospital after being shot multiple times early Sunday morning.

According to police, the incident may have been a drive-by shooting at a 7-11 near Fountain and Chelton.

Investigators said they were searching for a Pontiac Grand Am and a driver who may have been involved. Officials said the car and driver had been found. Officials would not say if anyone was arrested.

The victim was taken into surgery at Memorial Hospital and officials said she was in stable condition. Investigators are not identifying the victim.

While at the hospital, police said a man tried to enter the hospital with a shotgun.

After a short search, police found and arrested him. He told police he was a friend of the victim.
