Armed Liquor Store Robber Caught On Cam
Colorado Springs police said four liquor store robberies Thursday night were likely committed by the same person.
At one of those stores, Bob’s Liquor on El Paso Street, the robber’s face was clearly caught on a surveillance camera. The video shows a black man entering the store with a shotgun that he points at an employee.
The man is wearing a mask on his head, but he doesn’t pull it down over his face until after he passes a camera.
“I do hope somebody recognizes this fellow and drops a dime on him,” said Thomas Jackson, the owner of Bob’s Liquor. “Because it could be your wife or girlfriend or child who he assaults next, and who knows what’s going to happen.”
The video from the store helped police link the robber to three other hold0ups that happened the same night, at Quart House Liquor on Palmer Park Boulevard, Platte Liquor on East Platte Avenue and Oddone’s Liquor on North Union Boulevard.
Witnesses report that the robber fled in a grey or silver car, possibly an 80s Honda Civic Hatchback.
Police want your help identifying the suspect. If you recognize the person in the picture, police ask that you call them at 719-444-7000, or that you call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
