Colorado Springs Liquor Store Robbed At Gunpoint

A Colorado Springs liquor store was held up Thursday night.

It happened at Academy Boulevard Liquors at 1210 North Academy Blvd. just after 9:30 p.m. said Colorado Springs Police.

The man entered the store and brandished a silver handgun demanding money, police said.

The clerk gave the suspect money from the register and the suspect left. said police.

It appeared there was a second suspect waiting outside the front door, according to the clerk, police said.

Officers checked the area for the suspects but were not able to locate them, said officers.

The man who entered the store is described as a black male in his late teens to early twenties, wearing a blue hoodie over a gray hoodie and possibly blue sweatpants. The blue hoodie had writing on the back and the gray hoodie had “Everlast” across the chest, according to police.

The only description of the second suspect who did not enter the store was wearing all dark clothing, police said.
