Scam Offers Pueblo Residents Free Blood Test

The Better Business Bureau is warning Pueblo residents about a telephone scam offering free blood kit tests for diabetes.

BBB has received several telephone calls from consumers living in the Pueblo area reporting that they have received solicitation calls from a company offering the free blood kit test.

In this scam, the caller asks the consumer to provide their social security number and insurance information.

None of the customers were able to provide a name of the company, but one did capture the phone number on their caller ID as 919-342-2383. The call is apparently from the Raleigh/Durham North Carolina area. When called, there is a recording stating that the number is no longer in service.

The BBB warns consumers not to provide personal information to anyone they do not know.
