Pueblo County Woman Dies In Tragic Accident
A Pueblo County woman is dead after what investigators are calling a tragic accident.
The Pueblo County Sheriffs Office says that around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday they were called to the 27000 block of Preston Road east of Pueblo.
63 year old Maria Lopez was taken to Parkview Medical Center where she died.
The investigation into her death revealed that Lopez accidentally placed her vehicle?s transmission into the neutral position instead of the park position.
When the vehicle began to roll backwards, Lopez attempted to get back into the vehicle. She lost her footing and the vehicle ran her over.
