Early Christmas Wish Granted
An early Christmas wish is granted for one Colorado Springs church late Thursday morning. Remember in late November when I told you about that outside Christmas tree ripoff at Calvary Chapel Eastside church. Someone cut a huge chunk off a tree in the back of the church. Previously, the seven foot tall tree was used for Christmas lights.
Heidrich’s Colorado Tree Farm Nursery saw our story and knew what to do, a.s.a.p. The company donated a tree to the church. Workers dug out the old tree and planted the new one, free of charge.
Levi Heidrich told me that it was only right to do this for the church after a Scrooge grabbed the other tree. Church Pastor Jim Etheridge told me that this proves how great the Colorado Springs community is to him and his congregation and why he and his flock are blessed to be here.
The new tree already has a super stink skunk smell on it. It’s also decorated for the holidays, thanks to the Pastor’s wife.
