Ways To Help Family In Deadly Fountain Fire

Fountain Fire Department stations are accepting donations for the family who lost everything in a fire on Monday.

The fire at Crest Mobile Estates in Fountain killed 45-year-old Joey Nauta, a husband and father of two.

The fire gutted the home in the 500 block of Windsor Lane, damaging three nearby units and destroying two cars. In all, three families were affected.

The Nauta Family lost everything they owned and do not have home insurance. An additional family suffered a loss of household items and is in need as well. The fire department is in the process of finding out exactly what the second family needs.

The City of Fountain Fire Department is accepting donations of anything to help the family-a mother, a 5-year-old boy, and a 10-year-old girl. Donations of food, money, clothing, appliances and house wares can be made at any Fountain Fire Station. The family has a temporary home to stay in.

Applebee’s in Fountain will donate part of proceeds from a pancake breakfast on Saturday Dec. 10 to the family. The breakfast will be from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Applebee’s on Hwy 85/87 in Fountain (near Wal-Mart). They will also be collecting donations, Christmas gifts, and anything else for the family.

You can also donate to the victims of the fire at Academy Bank #3783480
