Death Caused By Head Trauma In 28th Homicide
According to the Coroner’s Office, the manner of death for 22-year-old Jacob Seabright was ruled a homicide and the cause has now been ruled head trauma.
Penrose Main Hospital notified police that Jacob Seabright was transported to their hospital by an unknown person on Friday, Nov. 25.
At the time, it was unknown whether Seabright sustained an injury from an accident or had been assaulted. He was declared deceased Saturday, Nov. 26 at 12:27 p.m.
25-year-old Tyler Theis was arrested and charged with Jacob’s death.
Theis’ father says Theis and Seabright were best friends and he believes the death was an accident.
Police said that it’s not clear what Theis will be charged with in the death of his friend. A CSPD spokesperson said the D.A.’s office is considering a manslaughter charge, not murder.
