Van Fire Injures Colorado Springs Woman

A woman is hurt after a van fire Saturday night, Colorado Springs firefighters said.

It happened on Colony Hills Road near Drennan Road just after 4 p.m. Saturday.

Official said the woman was smoking a cigarette and refilling a propane tank when the fire erupted.

Neighbors said they tried to help put out the fire, but their hose froze, forcing them to wait for firefighters to arrive.

Investigators said the woman had minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, officials said.
