Suspect Arrested In 28th Springs Homicide
A 22-year-old’s death marks the 28th homicide this year in Colorado Springs.
On Friday at 12:10 a.m., Penrose Main Hospital notified police that Jacob Seabright was transported to their hospital by an unknown person.
Seabright died on Sunday afternoon. At the time Seabright was transported to the hospital, it was unknown whether Seabright sustained an injury from an accident or if he had been assaulted.
The autopsy is not complete, but the death has been ruled a homicide according to Colorado Springs Police.
After investigation, 25-year-old Tyler Theis was arrested Monday morning and is being charged with Seabright’s death.
Seabright’s death is the 28th homicide this year. 2011 is now tied with 2007 as being the city’s deadliest year.
