Safeway Robbed At Gunpoint

Colorado Springs Police were looking for the man they said robbed a Safeway pharmacy Friday night.

Police said the man walked into the store at 2980 N. Powers Blvd. just before 7 p.m.

He had a handgun and demanded narcotics, according to police.

Police said the employee handed over an undisclosed amount and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and approximately 180 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans.
