Denver Police Look For Police Impersonator
Denver Police are looking for a man they say robbed two victims while posing as a police officer.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, members of the Denver Police Department responded to the area of 2nd Avenue and Julian Street on the report of a street robbery.
A victim was traveling in his vehicle in the area when the suspect pulled alongside and ordered him to pull over by using a flashlight. The victim complied and was ultimately robbed by the suspect.
Shortly thereafter, in the 1300 Block of Lipan Street, the same suspect is believed to have approached a second victim on foot and robbed that victim as well.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’7 with no facial hair. The suspect was wearing a dark colored uniform with some type of badge attached to his belt and was driving a dark green SUV.
